ELECTION NOTICE. WHEREAS one of the seats for the Electoral District of Waipukurau being now -vacant, —a duly qualified person not having been elected as member for the said district, 1, John Russell Duncan, Returning Officer for the said Electoral District, DO HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that by virtue of a Writ bearing dote the 9th day of February, 1803, issued under the hand of His Honor (be Superintendent of Hawke’s Bay an election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to servo as a member of the Provincial Council for the said electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at Mr. Purvis Russell’s Wool-shed, Waipukurau, on Monday, the 23rd day of February, 18(53, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Tuesday, the 21th day of February, and that I will declare the same on Thursday, the 26th day of February, 1863. IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled, “The Provincial Elections Act, 1858,” I, John Curling, Esq, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Town of Napier, DO HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 9th of February, 1863, issued under the hand of his His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, an election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the said Electoral District in the room of William Colenso, Esq., resigned ; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Court-house, at Napier, on Tuesday, the 24th February, 1863, and that the Poll (if necessary) will take place on Wednesday, 25th February, and that I will declare the same at the close thereof.
