Our harbour has had a shaking within the last few days,— Vistula, Glimpse, Novelty, Claud Hamilton, and smaller crafts have taken their departure ; Ida Ziegler has cleared for London, a full ship, both with live and dead cargo j and Cairmgorm will, we understand, shortly take her leave. Nightingale, and Alice Cameron, will soon be the only square rigged in port, —the unfortunate Blundell excepted, which last appears as if destined to ground on her beef bones! But, as has hitherto been the case, we may ere long expect an inward rush : — Devonshire is a hundred days out from Deal; Gertrude, also from London, ninety days from the same point of departure; Southern Cross, eighty-five days from Southampton ; Adolph, Hamburgher, expected from Adelaide ; a schooner, the Amelia, we believe from the Mauritius; and one or two others from foreign ports.— New Zealander, Feb. 6. We understand that, for the present, H.M. s.s. Miranda will not go round to the Manukau. In a day or two she will take her departue for the East Coast, calling'at Tauranga and Poverty Bay. His Excellency will embark on board the Miranda and pay a visit to the East Coast natives. — Southern Cross, Feb. 6. Barque ‘ Geoeoe Canning.’ —This vessel, after a run of 118 days, arrived in our harbour on Wednesday last. She brought nine passengers, and a large general cargo for this port and Napier. There was one birth on board during the voyage. — Nelson Examiner, Jan. 31.
