The Asterope is the first wool ship of the seasor, and takes a large and valuable cargo the declared value of which is £43,290 2s lOd, The Asterope arrived here on the 15th Oct., with a very large cargo of British merchandise, since which time her inward cargo has been discharged and she has been reladeu with a cargo of Colonial produce, the time occupied being little over 7 weeks; a despatch alike creditable to Captain Mitchell, and her agents Messrs. Levin & Co. She takes 20 cabin passengers, (including three children) amongst whom are Mrs. Daniel Wakefield, Mrs. C. R. Carter, aud other well-known parties, who are about to pay a visit to Europe.
