To the Editor of the Hatoke's Hay Times

Sm, —It appears to me that the explanation (?) or apology for supplying the public with incorrect forms for making their claims to he placed on tiie list of voters, given hy Mr. Wood on the hustings, was extremely unsatisfactory, inasmuchas the formswhichMr. Wood “had never seen, and never heard of the interpolation of the ivord ‘truly was published in his own journal, (as well as in yours ), in the month of January last, under the heading of “The New Registration Act.” It would have been more in keeping to have owned that the error was one of the press, and that it had escaped detection, and should have been considered by the Revising Officer as ot minor importance. This, or such an Apology, would at least have the merit of being readily credible, and might have been excused. I am, Ac., One that wrote ms Claim from THE ADVERTISEMENT. Napier, Jan. 13, 1833.
