WELLINGTON.
Vv r o arc glad to learn that the Managing Committee of the New Zealand Steam Company have determined on having two vessels built in England for the requirements of the Inter-Provincial trade. The vessels are to be named the IVelUnqton and Auckland. Each vessel is to be from 60 to 70 horse-power, and of 400 tons burden, and
to be fitted up with u special view to the comfort and convenience of the passengers, with the latest improvements in the machinery. It is expected that the vessels will be ready for the Company’s service within twelve months. An agent will be sent home by the Company to superintend the necessary arrangements.— Spectator , Nov. lg. Wo understand that 200 shares in the Bank of New Zealand, npon which £B.O had been paid, have this week been sold for £lOl2 cash, thus* realising a profit of more than 25 per cent. —lbid
