As will be seen from our shipping list, we have had a busy Iron Pot during tiie last week, no less than live arrivals and five departures, in fact, our Port presented an appearance such as we have not seen for many months. The Storm Bird took away a number of our working men to Otago, who have been induced, by the glowingintelligonce last received, to try their luck at the diggings. We wish them prosperity, and a speedy return ; but would caution others not to bo too hasty in leaving a certainty for what may be an uncertainty. There arc now five vessels port, viz., the brigs Gil Btas and Mountain Maid, the schooners Rose Ann and Snip rise, and the ketch Gipsg. The Baity Times says;—lt would appear that a considerable emigration must be setting towards New Zealand, from Great Britain ; for wc perceive that the departures from New Zealand, from British ports during the month preceding the departure of the mail numbered eleven, and there were besides nineteen ships loading.
