EXTENSION OF THE MONEY-ORDER SYSTEM TO NEW ZEALAND.
1- On the Ist of May, and thenceforward, money-orders will be issued by all money-order officers in the United Kingdom on llicyindermeiit toned places in New Zealand, at a charge of Is for any sum not exceeding *--- 2s. for any sum above £g and not exceeding £5, 3s. for any sum above. L's and not exceeding £7, and 'ls. for any sum above £" and not exceeding £lO, beyond which latter sum no single money-orders will be issued. I rom the above date money-orders will also be is.-ued for any sum not exceeding £lO at the undermentioned places m Now Zealand ‘on any money-order ollice in the United Kingdom. The issue of money-orders under (his arrangement will be in all respects on the same condition as those which regulate (heir issue by oue otllce on another oliiee in the L'nitcd Kingdom, except that, in consequence of the distance between the L ntted Kingdom and New Zealand, an interval of six instead of two months will be allowed after (bo issue of an on let* in one country payable in Hie other, before such order will become lapsed. 3. For the renewal in the United Kingdom of a lapsed order, for the issue there of a duplicate order, or for the stoppage (hero of payment of an order, application must be made to the controller of the metropolitan ollice of that part of the Kingdom (England, Ireland, or Scotland) in which such order is payable. In the case of lapsed orders, an additional inland rate of commission will be deducted from the amount of the new order, and the lapsed order must bo transmitted with the application for renewal. In the other cases an additional inland commission must accompany the application. J f transfer of payment from one ollice to another ollice in (ho United Kingdom be required, application should be made to the moneyorder ollice at: which the order is payable, (he order being forwarded with such application. The additional inland commission in this case will be deducted from the new order. 4. For repayment of the amount of a moneyorder, or for tlie correction of any error respecting the name of the payee or remitter, application, accompanied with an additional inland rate of commission, must be made to the controller of the metropolitan office to the country in which the order was issued. 5. As all advices of colonial money-orders must pass through the metropolitan offices of this country and oftlie colony in which the orders arc issued or have to be paid, unavoidable dehi}' in payment must in some instances arise, since such advices may occasionally arrive in the United Kingdom, orin tim colony, one post after the orders have reached their destination.
