CORRESPONDENCE
To the Editor of the Hawke's Bay Times. Sir, —;-I wish to ask the Government, through the medium of your columns, when it’s intended to do anything to .the line of road between Patangata and Tamumu ; the road is all but impassable now, and it’s quite an undertaking to get along. There has been money voted for the purpose at the last sitting of the Council, and I believe on a former occasion ; and the Superintendent has been repeatedly petitioned by the settlers to do something to the road, but there has been, no notice taken of it. There has been a, deal of money contributed to the revenue by the district, and not a single penny given in return. I think it’s time there was something done to the road in question, as we are in a very bad state for the want of a practicable road. Yours, &c., Patangata Settler.
