>' E (botJTHREX' Ckoss) have just received the following important communication from an occasional correspondent, at Raglan t “ Wiremn Nero is in receipt of a letter from Ngavmvhaia, stating that the Ngapubis and other tribes have threatened to go and haul down the king-flag. They (the Waikatos) have, therefore, jnvited Wiremu Nero to come overland take down he being next kin to the late King Potatau. Nero says he will not go over at present, in order to give them more time to consider over the matter. In a short time there is to be a large meeting at Waikato ; when he wi'l go over and discuss the matter with them. ” —“ Southven Cross” extra Sept. 27.
