We delayed going to press this morning in the expectation of being able to give our readers the latest intelligence from Auckland, the Eliezer having put in en route for Otago. Although we sent early this morning to the vessel, we were not successful in getting copies of the latest dates from Auckland, private persons very unfairly securing what are intended for the press, and through it the public generally. We hear, however, that Governor Grey had not arrived in Auckland when the Elieze r left.
