Young Woman and Youth Killed BULLET H1TS MAGAZINE *

(Received 31, 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 30. A young woman named Ruby Finch, aged 26, and a youth named Ian Hayman, aged 17, were killed to-day when a rifle bullet accidentally struck and exploded a coalmine magazine at Kilcunda beach, near Wonth?^i. The woman's body was blown nearly a hundred years into the sea, and the youth's eighty yards. Both were shockiiigly mutilated. 1 The pair, who were holiday-making at Kilcunda, went shooting, and it is believed the bullet was fired at a rabbit. It struck a magazine containing twelve cases of gelignite situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There was a terriffic explosion which partly wrecked two wooden dwellings. The oecupants suffered only minor injuries. The noise of the explosion was heard two miles away.
