Cricket's 'Big' Dividend at Manawatu TOTALISATOR OVER £100,000

PALMERSTON N., This Day. The weather was fine and uncomfortably warm for the concluding day of the Manawatu meeting. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £25,714 10 A, as ngalnst £20,105 10/- on the .third day last year. This bumped the total for the meeting to £100,000, as compared with £86,526 10/-, the Increase for the three days being £13,483 10/-. The Liverpool Handieap, the prineipal event of the day, was won by Siegmund, who thus won a race on each day of the meeting, The Woofl Handieap was won by Master Oyklon and the open sprint by Laughing Lass, while the Champion Hack Handieap was won by Cricket, who paid the hlggest dividend of the meeting. + k+Lai, nuGHT HANDIOap, of £150; li miles. 9 UMPIRE (Mr. H.
