"ROMEO AND JULIET" TO-NIGHT AND TO-MOKROW "When one is asked to choose the picture that proved most satisfying in all the year, one pauses. When asked what is the best picture one has ^ever seen, there should be a much longer pause. Many fine, even splendid pro* iuctions come crowding to the mjnd. And yet, after seeing "Romeo aud Juliet,» the hesitation is not prolonged," saye tho film critic of the Sydnoy Sun, in reviewing this picture, whi*,h acreens at tlie Waipukurau Theatre4 to-night, Weduesday, at 8 o'clock. Norma Shearer aud Leslie Howard fill the title roles, while in support aro Jolu Barrymore, Basil Eathbone, Aubrey Smith and Edna May Olivct. "There is so much of movement, lile, wtu of laughter, in this picture, wliich givcs to the eye and the ear such true loveliness such ineffable pathos. Each sccne has a nicety of detail that marks it a part from all the other glorious scenes." "THE. SINGING MAEINE," FEIDAY AND SATUEDAY. Dick Powell in "The Singing Marine," will screen at the Waipukurau Theatre on Friday and Saturday. This is the happiest picture in months with Doris Weston, Les Dixon, Hugh Herbert, Lary Adler, wizard of the mouth organ, and six big song hits.
