THREE CALLS FOR PORT BRIGADE

The Port Ahuriri Fire Brigade has been called out three times during the Christmas period twice on account of false alarms from the wool stores. " The automatie alarm at Murray Koberts ' store was responsible for the first call at about 11.30 on Christmas Day, and this was probably set off by the heat of the sun At, about 6.30 laist evening .a grass fire broke out at Pandora Point, but the brigade stifled it before any damage was done. The automatie alarm at Williams and Kettle's No. 4 store called the brigade at 7.30 o'clock this morning, but , there was again no fire.
