Probably due to the near approach of the holidays, and the fact that a number of businesses were working overtime, there was dearth of competitors as well. However, eome of the athletes showed signs of striking form, and there is every reason to hope foi a good season 's sport. Following are the detailed results: — Javelin throw: W.
