FERTILISER INDUSTRY

Obstacle Appears to be Removed By Order-in-Council issued last evening the regulation issued under -the Industrial Efficiency Act, whereby a licence was required for the manufacture of phosphatic fertilisers, is revoked, states a Press Associatiou message- from Wellington. Phosphatic fertilisers were included in the list of industries brought under the Act in December of last year. From this message it is assumed that the way is now clear for the proposed establishment of a fertiliser industry in Hawke's B*ay. Some 18 months or more ago an attempt was made to set up the industry in this province, and a company was formed, but various difficulties, partieularly as regards securing a licence, were encountered. Now that this important obstacle appears to have been removed,, it is understood that the directors will shortly xeview the position again,
