MAGNOLIA SATIN CHOSEN BY OTANE BRIDE
' FREDSBERG — R0B0TT0M St. James's Church, Otane, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Tuesday afternoon, when the Rev. E. T. Hall united Phyllis Leonie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Robottom, " Milbourne," Otane, and Leslie, only son of Mr and Mrs E. Fredsberg, Anaroa road. The church had been decorated by relatives and friends of the bride with flowers in white and pale pink shades, and the bridal couple stood beneath a wedding bell of white, pink and silver. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a lovely model gown of rich magnolia satin, made with cowl neck, full sleeves to wrist and heavily embossed, the full skirt falling into a train, which was embosse.d with satin flowers. A beautiful embroidered cream silk net veil, lent by a friend, was arranged on the head with a coronet of miniature cream lilies, and fell gracefully to form a second train. Cream satin shoes were worn, and an exquisite bouquet of cream lilies, pale pink carnations, sweet peas and maidenhair fern was carried and completed a most charming toilette. The bride was attended by her sister, Trixie, as bridesmaid, and she looked picturesque in a dainty frock of shell pink stiff organdie, figured in white fltting bodice, puffed sleeves and fullflared skirt. Silver shoes were worn, pink mittens, and a halo of pink and blue velvet primulas. Her shower bouquet was composed of pink roses and carnations an.d blue delphiniums, aiid was tied with silver streamers. Mr Gordon Nilsson carried out the duties of best man. Mrs Collins, aunt of the bride, presided at the organ and played the wedding music. As the bridal couple were leaving the church the bride was presented with silver horseshoes, tied with satin ribbons, by little Freda Page and Brian Langridge. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Robottom entertained relatives and a f ew intimate friends at a reception held at their lovely home, "Milbourne," where the grounds, with their spacious lawns and profusion of flowers, were looking partieularly attractive. Mr and Mrs Robottom received the guests, the latter wearing a model frock of black and white floral marocain, navy coat, hat, shoes and gloves to tone, and a shoulder spray of scarlet carnations and maidenhair fern. Mrs Fredsberg, who assisted, was wearing a navy ensemble, with decorative buttons in lemon and scarlet, and she carried a hand bouquet of red roses, sweet peas and fern. The large living-room where the wedding breakfast was set was beautifully arranged with tall bowls 6f .blue delphiniums, pink roses and lilies. The table looked bright with vases of Ascension lilies and low bowls of violas. At the breakfast, which was a very happy one, the customary toasts were honoured, that of the bridal couple being proposed by the Rev. Mr Hall. A large number of telegrams of congratulation were received. The lovely wedding gifts, which iucluded sevoral eheques, testifled to the popularity of tbe young couple. Among those present wero:— Mrs Russell Nilsson, sister of the bride, wearing a model floral frock in wine and white with white hat, shoes and gloves. Mrs Collins, aunt of the bride, navy lace frock, hat, shoes and gloves to tone. Miss E. Langridge, aunt of the bride, navy pin-striped silk costume, navy hat, shoes and gloves. Mrs Watson, aunt of the bride, black ensemble, hat and bag. Miss Leonie Collins, green floral linen
costume. Miss L. Fredsberg, navy blue crepe-de-chine and navy hat. Mrs Carlaou, aunt of the bridegroom, olack and white costume, hat and eye veil. Mrs R. Langridge, navy and white floral marocain, white hat and gloves. Mrs R. T, Hall, floral silk frock in autumn tonings. When Mr and Mrs Fredsberg left by car for their honeymoon. the bride was wearing a becoming frock of vieux rose with tmy gold thxead pattern running tirougii. The gathered neckline was finished with a brown tie cord. Over the frock was worn a figured nigger brown satin coat, with which hat, shoes and accessories toned.
