St. Paul's Presbyterian Sunday School, Otane

The annual prlze-giving of St. Paul's Presbyterian Sunday School took place on Sunday afternoon, when there was a full attendance of pupils and a good congregation of parents and friends. The service was conducted by the Eev. F. W. Eobertson, who gave a brief address.to the children. Special Christmas hymns were a feature of the service, and the carol "The First Nowell" was very sweetly sung by the children. The prizes' were presented by Mrs. Eobertson to the following: — Primary girls: Judith Oram 1, Dawn Scrimgeour 2, Daphne Symmens 3. Primary Boys: Donald Baikie, David Oram and Bobbie Bartlett (equal) I, John Sirett, James Ballard anrl Bruce Ballard (equal) 2. Junior girls: Betty Baikie 1, Harriett Baikie 2, Barbara Page 3, Helen Scrimgeour, Isobel McDougall. Junior .boys: Reginald Ballard. Intermediate girls: Joan Ofam 1, Jessie Baikie 2, Gowan Bruce and Beryl Scrimgeour (equal) 3, Mary Scrim- , geour, Noeline Page, Heather Bruce. ! Intermediate Doys: Phil Oram I, Elliott Sirett, Allan Bartlett and Oolin j Page (equal) 2. | The following received gift books: — ' Maurice Tod, Hilda Tod, Laurence An- J nabell, Eobert Bruce, Peter Scrimgeour, j Freda Page, Dorotby Garner, Stewart Wedd. Eeward cards for church attendance were presented to Joan Oram, Noeline . Page, Mafy Scrimgeour, Beryl Scrimgeour, Gowan Bruce and Heather Bruce. A special prize, presented by Mr. E. McGregor, Waipawa, was awarded to Joan Oram for eleven years' attendance and good conduct. Gifts of books were also made by the superintendent, Mrs. A. Buil, to the two helpers, Miss Madge Bartlett and Miss Adele Pago. !
