MR. T. DAVIES

The many friends of Mr. T. Davies, of Karamu road, Hastings, gathered together on Monday evening to say farewell. Mr. Davies leaves Hastings shortly to take over the management of an Auckland firm. On behalf of all present Mr. A. Young presented Mr. Davies with a beautiful writing-bureau, and a fountain pen. Mr. Davies has been in business in Hastings for several years, and was a highly esteemed citizen. He will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.
