(By Telegraph-
— Copyright.)
(Eeceived 21, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 20. The Madrid correspondent of the British United Press says that fighting has been resumed in the Teruel area after snowstorms had halted operations. Loyalist planes dropped a seeond ultimatum warning the occupants to snrrender and threatening utter destruction if the ultimatum were not obeyed. Following the fall of Puerto de Escandon, which proteeted Teruel 's eastern side, the loyalist artillery subjeeted the town to a terrific bombardment. The scene,, under blinding searchlights, resembled the shootixig o£ a monstrous film. The defenders desperately counterattacked on the north, west and south sides, but failed to break'the loyali'sts' stranglehold. The Gibraltar correspondent of The Times says that the Spanish frontier has been re-opened and the steamer service to Algeciras resumed.
EUGBY, Dec. 20. " The Admiralty states that some misapprehension has been caused by a statement in a notice to mariners that mining in Spanish waters has been intensified. This statement formed part of a comprehensive notice which is reissued from time to time.
