The pathetieally tragic story of a father's faith and devotion is related in the sacred eity of Hardwar. In order to mark the recovery of his two sons from typhoid, the father announced that he would crawl on his hands and knees, accompanied by his sons, from Manosa, a village 300 miles away, to Hardwar. In defiance of the entreaties of his relatives and his doctor, he planned 68 daily stages of five miles. On the seventh day the younger son coliapsed and died. The father ascribed the fatality to the will of God and went on. He and the other son were tor'tured by swollen arms and legs, anq when only 10 miles from Hardwar the seeond son, in an emaciated condition, also died. The father attended the funeral and reached his goal to carry out his devotions. The father later undertook to crawl the return journey. He started out, but his hands and knees became enlarged as the result of poisoning, and he died. ___________________
