H.B. CRICKET REPRESENTATIVE MARRIED IN HASTINGS

REANEY— ALEXANDER The wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Hastings, of Alma Adeline, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Torrens Alexander, of Taradale, and Thomas Phillip Lewis, elder son of Mrs P. S. Reaney and the late Mr Reaney, of Napier. The Rev. J. Cuming, Taradale, officiated at the ceremony and Miss A. Lock played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr John Alexander, wore a gown of white Stwiss leaf figured organza fashioned with full skirt and bodice with a Peter Pan collar of the material, and two rows of buttons rrorn waist to neckline ornamenting the front of the bodice. The sleeves were full and tucked to fit the arm rroin elbow to wrist. The long tulle veil, which formed a train, was slightly gathered to fit the head and had a miniature posy of orange blossoms over one ear. She carried an arm sheaf of Christmas lilies and ferns. There were two bridesmaids, the Misses Molly Scott, of Dunedin, &nc/ Janet Waterworth (niece of the bride; They looked most picturesqae in iohj; full frocks of caraeo pink leaf-pattern-ed organza, with bow sashes of applo green rihbon velvet and pink shoes; flower hair bands. The first mentioned bridesmaid carried a ball of fiowers. Mr Harold Reaney, bridegroom 's brother, carried out the duties of best man. The ushers at the church were Dr. H. Alexander (brother of the oride), and Dr. Moloney. Much interest centred round the marriage, for the bride is a popular and well-known Taradale girl and the bridegroom is a Hawke's Bay cricket anr* former Rugby representative. He has also Tepresented Wellington in Plunket Shield cricket matches. The wedding reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Mason Waterworth. Mrs Waterworth, who is a sister of the bride, received the guests. She wore a charming gown of navy blue georgette patterned in fuchsia and green shades and trimmed with tiny frills. She wore a navy hat and shoulder spray of mixed flowere. Mrs Reaney, the bridegroom 's motner, wore a black ensemble and black

hat and her bouquet was composed of red roses and blue cornflowers. When Mr and Mrs Reaney left by car for the honeymoon, which will be spent in the north, the bride travelled in a frock of cream and navy blue plaid taffetas in small design. The frock had navy buttons and a navy belt buclde, and she wore a cream balibuntal straw hat, with a navy blue Tibbon band. A blue Harris tweed coat, with blue buttons, was carried. Mr and Mrs Reaney will reside in Napier on their return.
