DUNEDIN, Last Night. Judgment was given this afternoon j in a case in which the Department of Health proceeded on two charges against the Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., of selling butter with added water. The Magistrate, Mr H. W. Bundle, said. he was satiisfied that the butter in the case had not been sufficiently tested by the manager and that sufficient preeautions had not been taken to prevent an excess of water. The company was convicted and fined £5 wi.th costs.
