WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. On the Mt. Vernon range on Saturday afternoon the members of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired off the final round of the Crook's Silvvr Cup — two 7 shots at 900 yards. Conditions for shooting were very difficult, a fish-tail wind and a heavy mirage upsetting some of the riflemen 's cafculations. On the dav's shoot Riffeman Haldane again headed the list with 64 off the rifle which was a very fine •noyformance under the trying conditions.
