Presentation to Rev. F. W. Robertson

WAIPAWA, Last Night. This Christmas the Rev. F. W. Robertson and Mrs Robertson will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their coming to Waipawa, and yesterday several Congregations in the widespread parish marked the occasion by maldng a combined presentation, which came as a great surprise to the recipient.s. At the conclusion of the morning service, which was very largely attended, Mr J. Tod, of Otane, expressed in glowmg terrus the appreciation of the members of the church of the splendid service whicl Mr and Mrs Robertson liad rendored during the period of their twenty years' residence in Waipawa. A gift of a card bowl and a cheque wae made by Mr F. Holt, elder of the Church, who supplemented Mr Tod's remarks and eonveyed to Mr and Mrs Robertson the best wishes for a happy time du'ing the festive season. Acknowledging the gift on behalf of Mrs Robertson and himself, the Rev, F. W. Robertson said it came as a very great surprise. Their work in the parish had been largely assisted by the kindly cioperation of the church members, and to all he tenderod his most sn.cere thanks. At tli conclusion of the service the choir sang a number of carols which were greatly enjoyed by the large congregation.
