(By
AUCKLAND, Dec. 17. Bright-eyed eager c&ildren showing little evidence of their handicaps of disability in the cheerful atmosphere of Wilson Home for crippled children, at Takapuna, glowed with excitement when they i^ere visited by tHe Gover-nor-General, Yiscount Galway, this afternoon. Passing from bed to bed in eacli of the wards and inspecting the clinical side of the activities, his Excellency gained a knowledge of the curative treatment performed at the institution under the direction of the Auckland Hospital Board. "They look aimost frauds. That shows how ivell they are getting on," obsevved Viscount Galway as he passed through the wards, speaking for a few moments with each of the 25 patients. Although confined to their beds, several of the older children are learning typewriting and they have also had an opportuuity of studying shorthand and book-keeping, subjects which mighl prove valuable in the choice of a careei following their discharge from- thi Homo.
