WAIPUKURAU SCH00L Certificates to Primary Pupils

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. At the breaking-up ceremony at the Waipukurau School the pupils of the primary and secondary departments were assembled and addressed by the headmaster, Mr V. Parsons. The cup for the best tennis-player among the girls of the secondary department was presented to Jean Groves. Higher-leaving certificates were gained by Phyllis Tappin and Wendy Browne. The following is a list of primary pupils who gained certificates. - Boys: Errol Brathwaite, F. Chapman, R. Chisholm, J. Davey, K. Fryer, H. Gair, A. Howlett, T. Johnston, Ian McLennan, Bernard Nicol, J. Perkins, H. Price, Ivan Rapley, D. Robertson, J. Stoddart, P. Stoddard, L. Taylor J. Townsend, R. Warren, W. Watson, T. Zachan, A. Otter. Girls: Judith Agar, Shirley Coughlan, Isabella Fraser, Dorothy Gibson, Evelyn Halford, Velna Hill, Jean Holmes, Kathleen Hubbard, Roberta Hurdsfield, Jean Johnston, Olga Kolileis, Shirley McCoskery, Margaret Moore, Violet Morton, Melva Peters, Verna Peters, Margaret Sutton, Marion Turner, Alice Wadman, Fay Ward, Jean Young, Phyllis Sampey.
