Principle Accepted at London Conference
RUGBY, Dee. 18t The principle of continued international co-operation in the shipping industry was unanimously accepted at a private meeting in London of the International Shipping Conference and a resolution which approved a scheme of volunlary co-operation was adopted by the British tramp shipowners to operate on January 1 as a basis for international co-operation subject to the consideration of points of detail. Sir Richard Holt, president of the British Chamber of Shipping, said 1937 had been a boom year and the improvement reached its peak in September. There had since been a sharp declino and all the qualities that cohtributed to the success of co-operation in 1935 and onwards would be needed to preserve it and make it effective in the future.,
