British Type Proof Against Any Kind of Gas ,20,000,000 IN STORAGE
(Received 18, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Dec. 17. Referring to precautionary measures for the protection of the public against air-raids, Wing-Commander Hadsoll, Inspector-General, stated that gasmasks for all were being accumulated throughout the coufitrv. Twenty million had been canned like fruit to preserve the rubber, but samples were being introduced to households for 6tting and testing. The mfisks, Mr. Hadsoll said, gave complete protection against any type of gas. Mr. Hadsoll also stated that the Government proposed to augmenf, fire fighting apparatus all over the country.
