Mr and Mrs V. Parsons, Waipukurau, will spend the Christmas vacation in Dsew Plymouth. Mr J. D. Ormond, junr.. hais developed throat trouble necessitating his entering a private hospital in Waipukurau. Mr and Mrs J. Huntly Walker and family, Waipukurau, leave by car ou Monday to spend a holiday at Te Puke. Mr and Mrs E. C. Adlam, Waipawa, have left for Auckland, where they will spend the school vacation. Miss M. Wood, who has resigned from the teaching staff of tho Hastings train this morning for Wellington en High School, left Hastings by the mail route to Scotland, where ehe is to be married. There was a big crowd of friends and well-wishers at the station to bid her farewell, a pleasant voyage, and a happy future. Mr and Mrs Leonard Wright and their small son, of Dunedin, are spending Christmas with Mrs Wright's parents, Mr and Mrs Melville Bell, Havelock North. Miss Z. Williams, Bishopcourt, Napier, is the gust of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Denis Williams, "Ruangarehu," Tokomaru Bay. Mrs Walter Seymour, Whangara, aocompanied by Miss J. Seymour, leave to-morrow for Havelock North for the Woodford House break-up. Mr. and Mrs. J. AV. Cato, Hastings, are tlie guests of their daughter, Mrs. M.
