BRIDE WEARS GOWN OF HONEY GOLD SATIN
WHITE— HEAPS A pretty wedding of interest to a large circle of friends was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, Hastings, recently, when Betty Josephine Lincoln, daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Heaps, was married to Theodore George, son of Mrs P. G. White, and the late Mr White, of Hastings. The church bad been beautifully decorated with Christmas lilies and mock orange blossom. Canon Mortimer-Jones performed the marriage ceremony, and Mr C. B. Spmney played the bridal music. Thob ride, who looked very charming, entered the church with her father, and her bridal gown of gleaming honey satin was simply cut, with a full cowlel bodice held in place at the neck with a soft collar. The skirt, which was cut on the cross, had the fullness in the back panel and ended in a round train, and the sleeves were very wide, flaring over the wrists. The waistline was Huishgd with a wide belt of pleated satin. The beautiful veil (lent by a frienjd) . was worn with a spray of orange blos1 som, and fell in soft folds to form a train and she carried a bouquet of cream , rosos, sweet peas, carnations and fern*. j The ouly bridesmaid, Miss Phyllls i Walker, wore a pretty frock of applc- ' green silk suedette, with a full skirt, with shirring at the waistline. A matehmg eoatee was worn, fashioned with square shoulder sleeves, having a flared basque. A spray of pink flowers adorned the Tieekline of her frock, and her hat was of apple-green crinoline straw, trimmed with a pink spray. Her boiv ' quet was of pink roses, sweet peas, i carnations and ferns. i Mr Eric Shepherd carried out' the duties of best man. After the ceremony at the church n reception was held at the Eialto Tea Eooms. On the brlde'B table was the beautiful bridal cake, which had been made and presented by Mrs A. Farmery. Mrs Heaps welcomed the guests and was wearing a navy floral frock and navy hat, and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs White (mother of the bridegroom) wore a black silk marocaln frock and black hat, and carried a bouquet in mauve-coloured flowers and ferns. When Mr and Mrs T. G. -White len for the honeymoon, which will be spent in Auckland and Eotorua, the bride travelled in a nigger brown striped costumo and maize peasant blouse and a brown hat, with shoes and handbag to match. On their rcturn Mr and Mrs White will residc in Hastings.
