Maddison, after mcntioning that, since the beginning of Octobor last, tbere had been five street collections talcen in the town. "Tbe business people and tbe shop-. ping public aTe becoming heartily siek and tired of tbem," he said, "and while up to now tbey bave accepted tbe appeals in the rigbt spirit and responded really well, too many calls are being made on the people."
