DISAPPOINTING WOOL PRICES IN AUSTRALIA
• (Eeceived 17, 8.45 a.m.) • MELBOUENE, Dec. 16. In addressing the shareholders of Goldsbrough Mort at the annual meeting in Melbourne, the chairman, Mr W. Nial'l, said that the first half of the selling season was now practically closed. It had been generally difficult and disappointing, due largely to political and economic troubles- with the United States and the disturbance iu the Far East. He added that the present level of prices little more than covered the expenses of growing wool. Brokers at present had unusually large quantities of wool in their stores.
