INTER-CLUB SWIMMING

The first of the series of interclub swimming carnivals for the, Rainbow Shield and Baird Pennants will be conducted by .the Heretaunga Swimmihg and Life-Saving Club at the Maddison baths this evening. Three clubs, Heretaunga, Havelock North and Mahora, contest the trophies over a series of three carnivals, each club conducting one carnival in the season, and the aggregate points over all hree carnivals decide he winning club. The competition for the trophies in exceptionally keen and each club strives to enter ita atrong«&t team.
