Break-up Ceremony To-morrow

ELSTHORPE, Last Night. Mr A. McGaffin presided over Messrs J. Kenderdine, J. Sutherland, T. Priest and J. Macaulay (secretary) at the meeting of the Elsthorpe School Committee. The teacher reported the roll number at 38, with the average attendanee 35.2. Arrangements are well in hand for the school concert and break-up ceremony, to be held in the loeal hall on Friday evening. During the holidays the playground is to be top-dressed. The playing field has reeently been ploughed. The matter of attending to the lawns during the vacation was left in the liands of the secretary. Two boxcs of seedlings donated to the school by Messrs W. H. Walker and Son, Hastings, were much appre- • ciated.
