FATHER XMAS AT PARKVALE
A visit to the Parkvale School was made this afternoon by Father Christ* mas and there was the usual end-of-the-year party for the pupils in the primers. Aniid laughter and a gay spirit of expectaney Santa Claus distributed to eaeh child a gift, in the form of a story book, and counselled them to work hard next year after having a long holiday. Subsequently Mr J. Stickland, chairman of the sehool comniittee, met the teaching stafE at afternoon tea and presented eaeh member of the etaff with a small gift as a token of the committee's appreciation of the fine work and service that they had given the children and committee during the year.
