Two Instructive Addresses

TAKAPAU, Last Night. i A very well attended meeting of the Takapau branch of the Farmers' Union was presided over by Mr N. Tillev. The usual business was cowinctH in eonnection with theb ranch, after which Mr L L. Elliott, of the l tp Vlment of Agriculture, gave a discour.se a® "Farm Management Survey" which gava many interesting sidelights on the amount of information being accumulated by the department. This information at present is of a confidential uature, but when completed and compiled should be of great advantage. Mr L. F. Allen, A.P.A., N.Z., aho gave a very instructive address on "Farmers' Accounts and Taxation." This addiess was full of importance to farmers, and was very well demonstrated by practical examples and blaclc- . board illustrations and was listened to most attentively by those present. Many questions weer asked and saiisfactorily answered. The chairman, on behalf of those present, tendered to the speakers the thanks of the farmers for their most instructive addresses.
