lieartily thanked on behalf of the members. The Maraekakaho and Mangatahi school children were invited for the afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The competition results were as follows: — Best bloom, Mrs Simmous; best boAvl, Mrs Siinmons 1, Mrs Foreman 2; vase of sweetpeas, Mrs McConachie 1, Mrs Jaines 2; 3-andmade soft toy, Mrs Farmery; best decoratcd tin of sweets for children over 10/ Sliella Joll 1, Jinrmy Talbot 2; under 10, John Foreman 1, Janet Walker 2. The collection of sweets and toys was sent to the district nurse for distribution at Christmas.
