absenee of the president and secretary, Mrs Bee and Mrs Haliburton presided respectively. Two visitors were weleomed. It was deeided to give a donation towards the school Christmas tree. Arrangements were mad; for the annual picnic to be lield at -utira at the end of Januarv. The usual monthly conipetition resulted: Floating bowls, Mrs Haliburton 1, Mrs Haliburton and Miss Haliburton (equal) 2; home-made soap, Mrs Haliburton 1. Tbe hostesses served afternoon tea and the siuging of the National Anthem eoncluded an enjoyable meeting.
