HOUSING SCHEME FOR POWER BOARDS
In a letter from tbe Power Board's Association, tbe Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board, at the monthly meeting in Napier yesterday, was advised that th© Governmeiit is shortly passing legislation enabHng power boards to erect houses for employees, without a poll, with Governmeiit fiinds at 3 per cent. The association enclosed a suggestion by the Housing Department' that the Government's offer might enable boards te house servicemen at vai'ious pdihts, ffom which Work could perhaps be c'afried QU't more efficiently. The dfepartment also l'orwarded a questionnaire asking if the boafd wafited to make use of any of the money. "We have lio schelne of that nature in mind yet," comnlented the chairma'n, Mr. E. T. Crosse, in moving tliat the letters be received.
