Porangahau's Final Meeting of Year

PORANGAHAU, Last Night. The Porangahau Ladies' Guild held its final meeting for the year at "Oakbourne," where the members were the guests for the afternoon of Mrs P. Canning. The president, Mrs Canning( presided over a good attendance. A vote of sympathy with Mrs Williams and family was passed, on account of the death of Bishop Williams, members standing in silence. Apologies were reeeived from the Rev. and Mrs Niblock, who were unable to be present. The recent sale of work was reviewed, the result of which was most satisfactory. Mrs Canning expressed her thanks to overyone who had worked at the sale of work, and remarked that without their splendid co-opcration such a result would not have been acbieved.
