Very Satisfactory Position (From Our Own CorresDondent.) TAKAPAU, Last Niglit. Tlie annual meeting of the Takapau Golf Ciub was held in tlie library, when there was a good attendance presided over by Major McDonnell. Apologies for absence was received from Mesdames A'Deane and Holden and Mr. J. P. O'Dowd. The report and balancesheet were read, the latter disclosing a very satisfactory state of affairs, with a substantial credit balance, wliicli was due to the successful ball and tournainents held during the year. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — Patroness, Mrs. J. C. Rolleston • president, Major McDonnell; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. B. A'Deane, A. Holden and Mr. J. P. O'Dowd; captain, Mr. G. Stubbs; vicecaptain, Mr. R. S. Askew ; treasurer, Mr. G. R. Davies; committee, Messrs. W. Cutlibertson, S. Ingliss, G. S. Wliite, B. C. Morton and A. Bayliss ; anditor, Mr. 0. H. Bjorngaard; green supervisors, Messrs. J. P. O'Dowd, G. >S. White and B. 0. Morton. It was decided that the annual subscription be the same as the previous year. Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs J. P. O'Dowd, G. S. White and B. C. Morton for ably acting as green supervisors, to Miss Gamble and Mr. W. Cutlibertson, for the successful way they had run the tournaments, and the retiring officers, for services last year. A small committee was set up to consider the best method of running afternoon teas. A recommendation was made to hold a ball during the winter. Several new members were elected. A vote of thanks was tendered to Mrs. A'Deane for supplying tim^er to erect a shelter at No. 1 tee.
