CONTROL OF DISTEMPER

Injection of Serum The North Island Sheep Dog Trial Association has obtained from Engiana another 110 doses of serum virus for inoculating dogs as a preventive. against distemper. The doses will be distributed in the Hawke's Bay centre. Thirty doses will be used at Waipukurau, tlie injeetions to be made by Mr A. M. Brodie, of Hastings, at Ceutral Hawke's Bay Rugby Park, on Tuesday, Becember 14. Fifty-three dogs will be inoculated by Mr Brodie at the Rawke's Bay showgroimds cn Wednesday, Deeember 15, and the balanco of the inoculations will be given at Wairoa. This experiment has been most successful in various parts of New Zealand and calls for the interest and consi.deration of all dog lovers to preveut the appalling loss among useful dogs. Anyone who would like to see and hear more about this inooulatioj> will be made welconie at any of the places where the operation is being performed.
