H.B. COUNTY'S RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY
A resolution of sympathy was passed to the family and relatives of the late Rt. Rev, Dr. Herbert William Williams. Bishop of Waiapu, by the Hawke's Bay Coimty Council Oto-day. "Through his death the Church has lost a faithful servant and New Zealand a distinguished son," said Mr F. B. Logan chairman. " He was an eminent scholar p,nd the greatest a>uthority on the Maori raee. He was a man who was widely read, and full of knowledge. He was ever ready to give his assistance to those who sought it. A man of simple tastes he never obtruded himself in any way."
