. Hastings High School Successes Outstanding succejs was aehieved by candidates from the Hastings High School in the shorthand-typing examinations for the Public Service. At the head of the list of Hastings passes was Faith L. Lawrence, who aehieved the rare distinetion of passing with crerW* in the senior grade, she being the first Hastings entrant to do so for many years. In the junior grade, two credit passes were awarded, to Ruth West anrl Joan Skeet., both being pupils of the High School.
