MRS. HANNAH JEFFARES

The death occurred recently at Wanganui of a well lcnown and esteemed resident of Greenmeadows, Mrs Hannah Jeffares, widow of the late Mr Thomas Jeffares, an early settler of the Taradale district, where, with his brothers, Messrs Isaac, Richard and Joseph Jeffare3, he resided for many years. After the death of her husband, the late Mrs Jeffares lived for some time with her daughter, Mrs Walsh, of Greenmeadows, and her kindly and generous nature gained her the regard of a large number of friends. In addition to her daughter, Mrs Walsh, and a son Mr Thomas Jeffares, both of Greenmeadows, she leaves gfown-up children in other parts of the Dominion,
