Monthly Meeting of Town Board The monthly meeting of the Taradale Town Board was held last night. Present: Me'ssrs J. . Williamson (chairman), J. B. Wainscoti, J. A. Wilkinson, G. Webb. W. H. C. Howard and J. Gilmour. The Taradale and District Retarned Soldiers' Association was grante.d the exclusive right to the use of the Taradale Park on Eebruary 19" next. The clerk and overseer, Mr W. G. Jarvis, report'ed as follow: — ■'* Roads: All roads are in good order. Patching the sealed surface wasi finished and long gra'ss cut on the roadside. Drains: Several small drains have been attended to, and the upper portion of Taipo creek. Men are no-vv clearing the Purimu creek from Burness roatf to Meeanee road. Owing to the exceptionally heavy growth of watereress and fescue some of 4 the larger drains are becoming completely overgroyra. Park: Flower-beds have been cleared up and replanted with annuals. Tree-planting: Eeplaeements have been made in White street and redflowering gums were planted in Gloucester street by the Taradale Women 's Institute. Soldiers' Memorial: The grounds have been thoroughly cleaned up and kept in perfect order. Housing: Practically all applications for adjustment have been dealt with. One mortgage of £400 was paid off and a satisfactory re-sale made of property which reverted to the board.
