QUIET WEDDING IN HASTINGS ON SATURDAY

RICHDALE — H0RT0N A pretty evening weddiug.was quiefly solemnisid at the home of the Ifride 's grandparents, Mr and Mrs W. H. Ebbett, Nelson street, Hastings, on Saturday, when Margaret Marv, eldest daugliter of 'Mrs Horton and the late Mr J. T. Horton, Nelson street, Hastings, was married to Gordon James, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Richdalo of Napier. The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw officiated at the ceremony, and the rooms were decorated with bowls of lovely flowers in pink shades. The bride, who wa:s given awuy by her uncle, Mr L. H. Ebbett, wore a frock of deep blossom pink marocain with vandvked yoke aud long full sleeves ruched at the shoulders. A ivide sash was softly tied at the back. She wore a blue lace crinoline pictnre hat banded witli blue velvet ribbon and having a pink posy in front and pink flowers under the briin. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds. !Miss Dorothy Horton, the bridcV sister, was" the only bridesmaid, ,and her frock was of floral crepe suede in shades of green, ■ .Ayhite, orange and lemon. The yoke effect was slightly gathered to the corsage and the long full sleeves were gathered at the wrists. Her natural shaded straw liat was Qnislied in front with green flowers, and cihe carriecl a bouquet in lemon an3 cream shades. .The bouquets were a gift from the bride 's aunt, Mrs C. B. Horton. . • Mr Frank Tichborne was - the bost m an. .. Tlie wedding was a quiet. one, and the guests, were relatives of the bride and bridegroom. A liapp^ bufl'et supper wa*s- enjoyed ,after tlie ceremony. Tlie bride 's mother, htrs Horton, wore a gown of black panne velvet •with a red . velvet shoulder spray. The bridegroom 's parents, Mr and Mrs JRiclidale, were present, the latter wearing a smart navy ensemble. Also present were the bride 's, grand pare nta, Mi and Mrs W. H. Ebbett, and Mrs Ebbett wore a gown of black satin charmeuse with gold lame trimming at the neck and gold shoulder flowers. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, the bride travelled in a navy blue ensemble with navy checked coal, na\ry hat and shoes.
