Meeting of Napier Committee A meeting of the Napier branch committee of the Hawke's Bay War Relief Assocaitipn was held on Monday, Present: Mr. G. S. V. Wenley (chairman), Dr. Bernau, and Messrs. G. B. Menies, T. H-. Ringland, H. Steele, and the secretary, Mr. j. D. Bowiand. A statement of payments and receipts for November, -1937, was placed before the meeting, and this .sliowed that the tranSactions for the month had been a3 followa • — Payments : Grants to soidiers (32) £36 10/5, grants to dependants (3) £15 0/4, loans to soidiers (6) £7'3 8/2, payments on aecount of other societies (10) £35 13/8, payments on account Napier Soidiers' Club (2) £10. TotaL £170 12i'7. Receipts : Loans refundcd by soidiers ((19) £72 1/6, refunds on account of other societies (1) £10, interest paid £2 10/-, rent £8 17/6. Total £93 9/-.
