Miller, S.M., in the Hastings Magistrate 's Court this morning to Kara Fraser, a Napier taxi driver, who was charged witn possessing a Alsatian dog which attacked a schoolboy in Hastings. The case was adjOurned for a week, upon defendnat consenting to have the animal destroyed, the penalty to be fixed ne?t week. Some schoolboys had been walking along Willowpark road, said SeniorSergeant (-r. Sivyer. The dog had leaped, and, without provocation, had- bitten one ot them. The bite was not a serious one. The owner told the Court that the dog was quite friendly and not savage, altliough he admitted that it had bitten the' boy. When the senior-sergeant referrecl to a previous action in regard to the same dog, he • said that it was proved soon after that a different animal had been concerned. \ The case was adjourned.
